Safe Space Meetings

Weekly social and educational programs for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and allied youth (14-22). We meet every Friday night from 7:00-9:30 at our Harrisburg and Lancaster chapters, and Thursday nights from 6:00-8:00 at our Carlisle chapter. Movies, coffeehouse nights, discussion, arts, field trips - you name it! Also see our calendar of activities.

Harrisburg Chapter: LGBT Center, 221 N. Front Street, third floor

Fridays, 7:00-9:30 pm

Carlisle Chapter: Carlisle Hatha Yoga Center, 14 W. Louther Street

Thursdays, 6:00-8:00 pm

*Our meetings are drop-in spaces, and therefore do not require referral or pre-registration.

SAFE SPACE RULES

Everybody is free to label themselves as they wish. Even if you don't agree, respect it. Be proud of who you are.

Everybody's ideas, opinions, thoughts, and concerns are heard and respected... by everyone.

We are here to socialize. We are here for support. Please control your hormones in this space and refrain from any inappropriate behavior.

Confidentiality is very important to all of us. Everything said here stays here.

Discrimination and homophobia will not be tolerated inside or outside of our space.

We don't have maids, so do your part to help out. Our space is ours, so we need to respect it and keep it nice.

This is a safe space. If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, please leave. If you came here looking for drugs or alcohol, please leave.

Anyone under the age of 18 will not leave the premises without parental permission if a parent brought you to the group.

All cell phones are to be silenced or turned off during discussion sessions and meetings.

Please respect the person who is speaking: no cross-talk or side conversations during discussion session or presentations.
